Employer in the Foyer

Sponsored and coordinated by STEP, Employer in the Foyer is a job fair held at each high school in the final weeks of the school year.  Employers offer immediate employment opportunities to graduating seniors planning to go directly into the workforce after graduation, as well as, part time summer employment.  This event also gives exposure to other high school students about the local companies, careers and benefits that afford them to stay in the Twin-Counties.

The 2025 Employer in the Foyer event was held in eight high schools with over 1000 students in attendance and 24 recruiting companies.

"The Employer in the Foyer event was a great opportunity to network with people from Astemo and STEP, making my job hunting much smoother. Plus, it provided valuable contacts for future job searches."

"This year was great! I got a lot of traffic at all the schools. So far, I have received applications for our Part Time positions in Parks & Recreation. The STEP personnel is always a big help with answering all of our questions or concerns. Josh and Abriella have been a joy to get to know this year too. It is always good to see all of the different vendors/businesses this year too. We get a chance to talk about how our searches are going; networking is always a good thing. Of course, Pam Gould and Kevin Roberts set up this year's schools' job fairs so perfectly. They always do a fantastic job. I hope we have this again next year.
