Summer Dickinson is a resident of Rocky Mount, NC. She grew up in small town Berryville, VA and came to Greenville, NC in 1997 as a and East Carolina University freshman. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2001. She remained in Greenville for several years after graduation and began her Accounting career there employed with an automotive dealer. In 2004 she decided to shift gears a little and venture into the manufacturing side of the auto industry when she took at a Cost Accountant position at Keihin Carolina System Technology, LLC in Tarboro, NC (which later became Keihin US Mfg., LLC). In 2007 Summer received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. In 2010 she decided to move to Tarboro to be closer to work, but then in 2016 moved to Rocky Mount. Summer remained at Keihin for 11 years before leaving in 2015 for a two-year stint to help build her career. During those two years she was the Controller for Freedom Industries, Inc. and the Financial Controller for Kaba Ilco Corp. As luck would have it, Summer was able to make her way back to her Keihin family when she returned as the Accounting Manager for the Tarboro plant in 2017. She provides financial guidance and analytics to the various departments within the organization, as well as helps to ensure the organization is engaging in cost savings activities. She not only has the pleasure of working with the local staff in Tarboro, but also with the staff of the sister-companies and corporate office in Indiana. In 2021, Keihin was a part of a four-company acquisition (Hitachi Automotive Systems, Keihin, Showa, and Nissin) that became Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. Summer is now employed with Hitachi Astemo Greenfield, LLC. which is a part of Hitachi Astemo Indiana, Inc. Summer is married to Shawn Dickinson and has two children, Dylan and Dreyson. |
